Our brief was to remodel the original poorly maintained 1970’s house, albeit in a stunning location. The scheme entailed remodelling the existing building to create a more attractive external appearance while extending and upgrading the internal accommodation conducive with contemporary living standards.

The use of a sensitive palette of materials externally, complements traditional forms found in Sussex rural vernacular buildings, employing handmade brick and red clay tiles.  Internally finishes are more contemporary, drawing upon the use of natural light to enhance the various spaces.
