Our award-winning Grade II listed Cottage features in The English Home.
Our award-winning remodelling and restoration of this beautiful Grade II listed Cottage features in The English Home Magazine. We are delighted that Deborah Bartlett Pitt has written an article on the restoration of this townhouse situated in the historical heart of Chichester.
Within the article, the client explains that obtaining planning permission was largely thanks to her architect, Trevor Pullen, who was adept at respecting historic requirements. [The Client] collaboration with Pullen provided the therapeutic focus (…) needed – Deborah Bartlett Pitt, The English Home magazine.
The house, originally built in 1720 as a brewhouse and stable yard, is a hidden gem tucked away in the historically winding route of Westgate. The existing building, enclosed by high walls and at its centre a delightful courtyard, was sympathetically extended and restored, with the primary motivation of creating a seamless transition between the courtyard and the interior spaces.
